📖 About TransPeshawar

TransPeshawar’s own documents define it as the entity responsible for BRT project design, procurement, implementation and ongoing operations and service-contract management in Peshawar — a public company registered in February 2017 under the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (working with the KP Urban Mobility Authority).

The system it runs, Zu Peshawar, has two parts, as Wikipedia summarises: an east–west dedicated corridor with 30 stations between Chamkani and Karkhano, and a network of feeder routes whose buses enter and leave the corridor to serve city streets. TransPeshawar also operates the city’s bicycle-sharing service.

🚌 Network & Services

  • BRT trunk corridor — Chamkani to Karkhano, 30 stations on a dedicated lane
  • Express and direct (feeder) routes — buses that join and leave the corridor to serve neighbourhoods
  • Bicycle sharing — the Zu bike service listed on the official site

💳 Payment & Ticketing

Zu Peshawar rides are paid with the Zu Card — TransPeshawar’s official site covers how to get and recharge it — or with the Zu App’s ZU Wallet, which its official app terms describe for fare payment across the Peshawar BRT. Keep the card or wallet topped up: corridor stations are gated and fares are distance-based.

  1. Find your route or station in BusUpdate’s Peshawar Zu BRT guides.
  2. Buy a Zu Card at a BRT station, or set up the Zu App wallet.
