Zu Peshawar is the bus rapid transit system of Peshawar, run by TransPeshawar, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s urban mobility company. Its 27 km east–west corridor from Chamkani to Karkhano Market opened on 13 August 2020 and now carries more than 345,000 passengers a day (2024 figures), with a fleet of 244 hybrid-electric buses. Two all-stops services (SR-01 and SR-02) and the limited-stop ER-01 express run the corridor, and a network of express and direct routes branches off it across the city. “Zu” is Pashto for “let’s go”.
